Four hydrogel masks that all look the same — until you read the ingredients

The Biodance Real Deep Mask series has been all over TikTok for good reason. These aren't your average sheet masks. They're thick, gel-type hydrogel masks loaded with active ingredients, and they stay on overnight rather than the usual 20 minutes. The results speak for themselves: plumper, more rested skin by morning.

But the collection has four variants — Bio-Collagen, Hydro Cera-nol, Radiant Vita Niacinamide, and Refreshing Sea Kelp — and from the outside they look nearly identical. The difference is entirely in the formula, and each one targets a genuinely different skin concern. Getting the right one for your skin makes a real difference to what you wake up to.

What each one actually does

Mask 01

Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask

Firming + Hydration

The original and the one that went viral first. Formulated with ultra-low molecular weight collagen and hyaluronic acid, it focuses on plumping skin from within and restoring elasticity. Galactomyces ferment refines texture and adds glow on top.

Key ingredients: Ultra-low molecular collagen, hyaluronic acid, galactomyces Best for: Fine lines, loss of firmness, skin that needs a visible plump The one to try if your skin feels deflated or less bouncy than it used to.
Mask 02

Hydro Cera-nol Real Deep Mask

Barrier Repair + Moisture

Built around Biodance's proprietary Hydro Cera-nol Complex: five-layer ceramides, vitamin B5 (D-panthenol), and oligo-hyaluronic acid. It delivers an instant cooling effect and focuses entirely on restoring the skin barrier rather than targeting aging or pigmentation.

Key ingredients: 5-layer ceramides, D-panthenol, oligo-hyaluronic acid, glacial water Best for: Dry, dehydrated, sensitive, or barrier-compromised skin The one to reach for after a harsh winter, an overloaded routine, or a period of skin sensitivity.
Mask 03

Radiant Vita Niacinamide Real Deep Mask

Brightening + Even Tone

The brightening one. It combines 10% pineapple fruit water with niacinamide (vitamin B3) and glutathione to target dark spots, post-acne marks, and general dullness. The pineapple water provides gentle enzymatic exfoliation while the niacinamide does the brightening work over time.

Key ingredients: Niacinamide, pineapple fruit water (10%), glutathione Best for: Uneven tone, hyperpigmentation, post-acne marks, dull skin The one to add to your routine when you want a more even, luminous complexion long-term.
Mask 04

Refreshing Sea Kelp Real Deep Mask

Soothing + Oil Control

The oily and acne-prone skin mask. Built on 10% fermented sea kelp extract and deep-sea water, it balances excess sebum without stripping moisture. Antioxidants and minerals calm irritation and help congested skin feel clean and settled by morning.

Key ingredients: Fermented sea kelp (10%), deep-sea water, antioxidant complex Best for: Oily, acne-prone, congested, or stressed skin The one to use when your skin feels reactive, heavy, or out of balance.
They're not a quick fix — they're a reset. One night with the right mask and your skin genuinely feels different the next morning.

Not sure which one to pick? Start here.

The fastest way to choose is to identify your main skin concern right now. Not your general skin type, but what's actually bothering your skin at this moment. These masks are targeted enough that the right match will feel immediately different from the wrong one.

Your concern The mask to try
Skin feels less firm, fine lines are more visible, you want a visible plump Bio-Collagen
Skin is tight, flaky, sensitive, or recovering from a harsh routine Hydro Cera-nol
Dark spots, post-acne marks, or skin that looks uneven and dull Radiant Vita Niacinamide
Oily, congested, breakout-prone, or skin that feels heavy and reactive Refreshing Sea Kelp

Getting the most out of an overnight hydrogel mask

  1. Apply to clean skin in the evening Double cleanse first if you wear SPF or makeup. The mask works best when it's making contact with your actual skin, not a layer of leftover sunscreen.
  2. Skip heavy serums underneath The mask itself is highly concentrated. You can apply your usual toner or a lightweight essence first, but a thick serum underneath will just create a barrier. Let the mask do its work directly.
  3. Leave on overnight That's the whole point. Unlike regular sheet masks, these are designed for extended wear. The gel material doesn't dry out, and the longer contact time is what makes the ingredient delivery so effective.
  4. In the morning, rinse off and continue your routine Rinse with lukewarm water, pat dry, and apply your regular morning skincare. You don't need to follow with a heavy moisturiser — your skin will already be in good shape.
One thing worth knowing: These masks are thicker and more adhesive than regular sheet masks, which is what keeps them in place overnight. If you've never used a hydrogel overnight mask before, the texture can feel a bit unusual at first. Give it one full night before deciding what you think.

Can you use more than one?

Yes, and a lot of people do. The four masks aren't competing with each other — they target different concerns, so if your skin needs both barrier support and brightening, rotating between the Hydro Cera-nol and the Niacinamide mask across different nights makes sense.

The one combination we'd suggest being mindful of: the Niacinamide mask and the Sea Kelp mask on back-to-back nights if your skin is sensitive. Both are active-forward formulas, and some skin types do better alternating with the Hydro Cera-nol in between.

The Trial Set — one of each — is genuinely the best starting point if you're new to the range. It lets you test how your skin responds to each formula before committing to a full pack of four. A lot of people discover their skin has a clear favourite after just a week of testing.
